Access Hollywood is reporting that Britney Spears and Mel Gibson have gone on a joint vacation. On Thursday, the pop star and her father accompanied Gibson and his wife to one of Gibson’s homes in Guanacaste, Costa Rica, via private jet. The actor and the former pop tart were once neighbors in Malibu, and recently dined out together with friends.

Gibson and his wife apparently spent time with the Spears clan following Brit’s second hospital stay. It seems that the actor, who has faced his share of personal problems, privately reached out to Spears during her recent crisis. The two may be a wacky pairing, but it appears the Hollywood vet simply wants to lend his support to a fellow celeb in need.
