Bill Murray’s wife files for divorce
Bill Murray’s wife of almost 11 years has filed for divorce, citing both substance and domestic abuse.
Jennifer Murray claims that her husband frequently left the couple’s home in Charleston, South Carolina, departing on day-long trips, sometimes overseas, without telling her. Murray says he physically abused her, hitting her in the face and threatening her life. She also claims he is addicted to marijuana and alcohol.
You may remember that in August of last year, the actor was pulled over in Stockholm for driving a golf cart through the city. He admitted that he had been drinking, but it appears there were no serious repercussions. Stories like that made us all chuckle: That Bill Murray, what a lovable old bum, just like one of his characters! This latest, however, points to a scary dark side to the funnyman.
Hope all goes well with Bill. It’s not easy being famous for as long as he’s been.
