On the Sundance Channel’s web site, you can see glam Italian actress Isabella Rossellini like you’ve never seen her before: gettin’ it on buggy-style. Rossellini wrote, directed and stars in a series of short films sponsored by the Sundance Channel. The films are all roughly two-minutes long, and are meant to be viewed on computers and cell phones. Each film depicts the sex life of a different creepy crawly, from worms and snails to spiders and flies. 

The actress dresses in handmade, anatomically correct costumes, and she both narrates and acts out each bug’s mating habits.  As the male praying mantis, for example, she mounts the female from behind and happily goes at it until the female revolves her extra-flexible neck and crunches off her mate’s head. Wow, those bugs certainly know how to get kinky.

The films are part lesson, part avant-garde oddity. No word yet on whether science teachers plan to incorporate the films into their lectures.
