Jamie Foxx premiered a new music video recently and it features a host of big-name stars. “Blame It” is off his third release “Intuition.” The song is a social commentary on both the evils and the joys of “a-a-a-a-a-a-alcohol.” Foxx spins a familiar tale of woe involving a drunk chick who gets another cup of devil’s brew only to spill it on herself. And she’s so wasted she doesn’t even care.
Jake Gyllenhaal, Forrest Whittaker, Samuel L. Jackson, and Ron Howard make brief but knowing appearances in the club as Foxx rubs all over the drunk chick. The stars don’t have much to do but stare at the camera or off into the distance, and the effect is a little puzzling. Is this the crew Foxx typically rolls with? At least the dancing, suit-wearing panda is having fun.

Actress Gwyneth Paltrow has been showing up in a lot of unlikely places lately. She recently visited with Oprah to discuss her post-pregnancy work-out routine, and appeared on chef Mario Batali’s PBS series Spain … on the Road Again. Does Paltrow find herself with a lot of spare time on her hands suddenly? Is she loosening up a little? Well, maybe, but these appearances also signal that Paltrow is transitioning into a new phase of her celebrity. With an upcoming cookbook and a gym opening in TriBeCa, the star is poised to move into Martha Stewart and Oprah territory. She even launched a lifestyle website, Goop.com, which bears the tagline, “Nourish the Inner Aspect.”
The site has gotten serious flack from critics, however, who have a hard time buying Paltrow as the next big lifestyle goddess. Says Gwynnie, “I think the people who are criticizing it or criticizing the idea of it, don’t really get it, because if they did, they would like it….I think that people like people to stay in their ‘box’ – they like people to stay how they are comfortable seeing them.” Or maybe they thought your recipe for banana-nut muffins sucked?

Once celebs start popping out babies they can’t stop! According to Nicole Richie’s man, Joel Madden, the star is pregnant with the couple’s second child. The Good Charlotte frontman made the happy announcement on his band’s website on Saturday, titling his post, “Better than winning an OSCAR.” It was just over a year ago that the pair welcomed daughter Harlow Winter Kate Madden into the world.
According to PEOPLE magazine, Richie’s friends are excited about the news. Kathy Hilton predicts that Harlow will soon have a little brother, while mother-of-three Angie Harmon encourages Richie to start a maternity line. Who could have predicted that party girl Richie would beat most of her pals to motherhood? Congrats, Nicole and Joel!

Season 6 of Project Runway has already wrapped up, but fans are yet to see an episode due to the show’s legal problems. The season’s three finalists recently showed their collections at New York’s Fashion Week, but producers had them show anonymously. The popular series finds itself without a network or a premier date for its latest season, so the finale was missing its usually celebratory air. Producers kept everything secret so as not to spoil the show’s ending for viewers.
“I’m a little bit sad for our designers, that they don’t get that recognition today,” said host Heidi Klum. The overall mood of the runway show was a downer, according to The New York Times. Reporters were not allowed backstage, and there were obviously no audience favorites, as the finalists remain unknown. Said past winner Christian Siriano, “For the contestants, it’s kind of horrible.” As Heidi Klum has repeatedly told us, in fashion, one week you’re in and the next you’re out. Will fans still be interested by the time the show’s legal troubles are sorted out, or will Heidi & co. be old news by then?

What is it about the loopier half of Les Olsens lately? MK has a history of pulling strange faces in front of the cameras–she was notorious for her bizarre, duck-lipped smile, for example. Well, it looks like a case of the fugly face is back, as these photos show. MK’s a stunning girl, but she pulls weird expressions. Here she is at the front row of the Proenza Schouler show with Nicole Ritchie.

Her eyes look more catlike than usual, like she’s had work done, and her face seems immobile. Maybe it’s MK’s makeup or nerves, but Nicole Ritchie has never looked more normal in comparison! On the plus side, MK’s looking healthier and less skeletal all the time, and I like her outfit. If you love MK’s taste in shoes, you can hop on the ankle boot trend with this stylish but significantly cheaper Fitzwell Nadia II shoe from Zappos.

MK would also heartily approve of this leather stiletto heel from Celine.

Perez Hilton used to look like the above, but thanks to diet and exercise, the celebrity gossip blogger has turned into a skinny minny! Perez made a Valentine’s Day appearance on E!’s Chelsea Lately, and the mofo was looking svelte! Dressed in a festive fitted red shirt and a choker, Perez dished on the Jonas brothers, Madonna, and the infamous mother of octopulets. Hilton once purposely dressed the buffoon in outlandish and tacky get-ups, but now he’s got a figure to show off. He’s still a fan of dyeing his hair–as you can see, he’s blond one week, brunette the next–but he’s ditched the rainbow shades for a more adult look. See the gossip gangster on Chelsea Lately here.

Late night talk show host David Letterman is on a roll lately, what with his memorable Blago interview, and now with this one-liner filled Joaquin Phoenix appearance. Phoenix caused a buzz recently when he declared he’s quitting acting and focusing on his music. Everyone assumed he meant something folksy or bluesy, a little Johnny Cash-style singing possibly, as he impressed when he played the legend in 2005’s Walk the Line. Phoenix then announced that he meant to jumpstart his career as a rapper.
So, like all of us, Letterman probably didn’t know what to expect from Phoenix. His new look could be summed up as the anti-heartthrob: big, bushy beard, shades, lots of unkempt hair and a little bloat. He looks like a bluesman on Letterman and said probably ten words. Is his new persona part of an elaborate hoax that’s being filmed by friend Casey Affleck? The best role of his life, created and lived by himself? That’s for us to wonder. Somehow it’s too funny to be your run-of-the-mill downward spiral; it’s more like he’s lampooning them. Enjoy the clip below!

Look closely at those lips and you’ll recognize the pout of actor Jude Law, who stars as “mysterious supermodel” Minx in the upcoming film Rage. The movie is a murder mystery written and directed by Sally Potter, whose films include Orlando and The Man Who Cried. Rage features a stellar cast, with Dame Judi Dench, Steve Buscemi, and Eddie Izzard, who, as you may know, is himself partial to drag. Says Potter of Law, “Strangely, the more he became a ’she’, coiffed and made-up - the more naked was his performance. There was great strength in his willingness to make himself vulnerable. It was an extraordinarily intense part of the shoot.” It’s certainly a different turn from Law’s other upcoming film role as Dr. Watson in Guy Ritchie’s Sherlock Holmes.

Jennifer Aniston recently revealed to Marie Claire that she has saved tapes of ex-beau’s voicemail messages. Said the star, who turns 40 next week, “It’s like saving love letters.” The confession doesn’t seem all that freakish or startling to me, but it unleashed a torrent of anti-Aniston feeling on the web. E! Online called the admission “oversharing” while the New York Post deemed the star an “aging schoolgirl.” NY Post’s commentors were full of nasty confessions of their own. Wrote godblesstheusa76, ” i find her to be sickening, and wholly unattractive….i really dont see why people think she’s all that…she really isnt… she’s a self centered spoiled b–ch.” Wow! That’s just un-American!
