Kim Kardashian recently attended the opening of some hot new party hole in a warm state most of us don’t live in. At the event, Kim revealed that one of her family members plans to go under the knife. Says Kim, “Someone in the Kardashian family will soon have plastic surgery. I can’t tell you who, but someone in my family will look totally different and viewers will see it all on the show very soon.” It seems too obvious that it would be Bruce, who from the looks of it is no stranger to plastic surgery. Perhaps one of the girls? What do you think, is Kim yanking our chain or will one of the Kards soon sport a brand new face?

Once celebs start popping out babies they can’t stop! According to Nicole Richie’s man, Joel Madden, the star is pregnant with the couple’s second child. The Good Charlotte frontman made the happy announcement on his band’s website on Saturday, titling his post, “Better than winning an OSCAR.” It was just over a year ago that the pair welcomed daughter Harlow Winter Kate Madden into the world.

According to PEOPLE magazine, Richie’s friends are excited about the news. Kathy Hilton predicts that Harlow will soon have a little brother, while mother-of-three Angie Harmon encourages Richie to start a maternity line. Who could have predicted that party girl Richie would beat most of her pals to motherhood? Congrats, Nicole and Joel!

Twenty-four-year-old Kelly Osbourne has checked herself into rehab for a third time. The news comes shortly after Osbourne was arrested for slapping a gossip columnist at a London night club. The writer apparently insulted Osbourne’s fiancee, Luke Worrall. (The couple is pictured above.)

Osbourne was treated for an addiction to painkillers at age 19, then checked into a facility again a year later. This time we’re not sure what the substance of abuse is, but mother Sharon Osbourne promises that Kelly will divulge all after her release. Sharon added, “We just pray that everything’s going to be OK.”

In other Osbourne family news, the unconventional crew returns to TV this spring in Osbournes Reloaded, a variety show debuting on FOX.

According to the great and powerful TMZ, actress Mackenzie Phillips was recently arrested at Los Angeles International Airport for possession of heroin and cocaine. The site reports that syringes and baggies believed to contain drugs were found on her person during a security screening. Phillips was acting suspicious and jittery before the search, and then during it, “a plastic bag containing an [unknown] white substance later identified and tested…positive for cocaine fell down her right pant leg.”

48-year-old Phillips is the daughter of the Mamas and the Papas singer John Phillips, who struggled with drugs and alcohol himself. She is best known for her roles in American Grafitti and the TV show One Day at a Time. Phillips began having serious drug problems in the 80’s, and was subsequently fired from the show, twice. She was in and out of rehab for years, but was clean at least for a period in the ’90s, appearing on the Disney channel show So Weird and Caroline in the City. Phillips, who was reportedly headed to a One Day reunion at the time of her arrest, was released on $10,000 bail.

Kay McConaughey, actor Matthew’s mother, just released a book of memoirs that seems designed to shock. Called I Amaze Myself!, the book already has people gasping. In it, 77-year-old Kay reveals that Matthew’s father, who died in 1992, passed away while they were having sex. She tells Us Weekly, “On Monday mornings, he and I often said goodbye by making love. But one day, all of a sudden, it just happened. I knew that something was wrong, because I didn’t hear anything from him… But it was just the best way to go!”

When Kay was sure her husband was dead, she had the paramedics remove him as is–butt-naked. “I was just so proud to show off my big old Jim McConaughey — and his gift,” she adds. I’m sure the neighbors appreciated ole Jim as they never had before. 

Son Matthew’s eccentric behavior–playing bongos in the buff, brushing his teeth while driving, planting baby placenta–seems a little more understandable now.  And doesn’t his brother go by the name Rooster? Looks like proud wackiness is a family trait!

I thought the Kardashians were famous exclusively for being rich and self-promoting, and for merging with the Jenner clan. But on Jimmy Kimmel the other night, Kim opened up about her father, Robert Kardashian, and his friendship with O.J. Simpson. This is one of the more interesting aspects of Kardashian family history; why have they not exploited it before now? According to Kim, it was too painful to talk about.

Daddy Kardashian was best friends with O.J. since the two went to college together. Their families regularly vacationed together. Then during the Simpson trial, Kardashian was one of O.J.’s defense attorneys. This was right after the Kardashians’ divorce, and Moms Kardashian had just remarried Bruce Jenner. During the trial, she and Bruce sided firmly with the late Nicole Brown’s family, and showed their support by sitting near them. Kim and Khloe, teenagers at the time, felt loyalty to their father, who believed in his friend’s innocence. The Kardashian family was conspicuously split, with Kim, Khloe and their father on the defense’s side, and Kris and Bruce with the prosecution. Kim says it was tough not to look over at her mother during the trial. The uncomfortable experience prompted the adults to bring the family together. Hence the big, happy, obnoxious family we see today on Keeping up with the Kardashians.

After the trial, Kim says that her dad and O.J. “parted ways,” which seems a noncommittal way of saying that Robert started to question his good buddy’s innocence. Or more likely he’d already started to question it, and wanted to get the hell away from him. After Kardashian’s death of cancer in 2003, Simpson issued a statement saying, “Bob was there when I needed him most.” Did Kardashian ever regret that? Kim’s not saying.

Khloe, the funny (and some say tranny) Kardashian sister is headed to the slammer for 30 days. (Fortunately for her, L.A. County jail is so packed that it will be more like 3.) The 24 year-old was arrested for DUI in March 2007 and never finished her community service or alcohol-education classes. Hmm, did she think a stint in prison would take her career to the next level? It’s about time someone came out of prison and made the talk show rounds, giving the nasty details, rather than playing tight-lipped and “classy” like Paris Hilton on Letterman. 

Big sister Kim, whose ass has replaced J. Lo’s as the most talked about in Hollywood, confirmed the news on her blog. She writes, “Khloe wants you to know she was sentenced to go to jail in regards to her one DUI case last year. Khloe is ready and willing to serve out her sentence, no matter how long and where, and have this resolved.” 

Khloe’s one of the rare prison-bound celebs who I think might actually be able to hold her own behind bars. Twiglets like Nicole Ritchie and Paris can’t even lift their own shopping bags, but I’m betting Khloe could fashion a shank if she had to.

There have been vague mentions of an ”Arrested Development” movie since the show went off the air two years ago. I’ve tried not to pay too much attention, as it felt like idle rumors and I don’t like my emotions toyed with. Now, however, confirmation has come from Michael Bluth himself!  According to Defamer, Jason Bateman confirms that the film will start shooting in 2009. 

“It’s typically bent and twisted,” Bateman says of series creator Mitchell Hurwitz’s plot. ”He’s got a really, really good idea for the movie version that would not be just simply the equivalent of four episodes back to back to back. It’s actually something that would be specific to the medium of film.” Bateman continues: “All the actors want to do it, the writers want to do it, and the boss wants to do it… But it’s a long, sort of drawn-out, complicated business process. ‘Arrested Development’ is such a specific tone, it doesn’t lend itself to mass appeal, as played out by the fact that it’s canceled. So it has to be done for a price.”  

It sounds like the actors and writers are jonesing for their Bluth fix just as much as AD fans. Jeffrey Tambor, who plays Bluth Senior, also mentioned the project on his Friday night appearance on Craig Ferguson’s talk show. As one Defamer commenter wrote: “Of late I’d been searching for a reason to live. Finally, there’s a light at the end of the tunnel.” Cheers to that!  

Rumors have been circulating for years now that the Material Girl and her British director hubby Guy Ritchie are soon to split. Now the London Times, a reputable source for once, is reporting that Madge has sought legal advice from divorce attorney Fiona Shackleton. Shackleton recently represented Sir Paul McCartney during his split from Heather Mills, effectively minimizing the damage to Sir Paul’s bank account. 

Madonna and Guy have been married for seven years, and according to the Times, they are believed not to have a pre-nup. As a result, Guy may be entitled to up to £50 of Madge’s £300 million fortune.

The pair recently attended the Cannes Film Festival together, but their strained demeanors did nothing to quell the rumors. In photos of the event, Guy looks on the verge of rolling his eyes, while Madonna was uncharacteristically reserved. The two have plenty to clash over. She is ten years his senior, devoted to Kabbalah and a rigorous exercise routine, with plans to adopt more children. Does the Material Girl have the time or even the desire for a husband any more?

People Magazine is reporting that eternal babe Heather Locklear has checked into a medical facility in Arizona. Her rep, Cece Yorke, confirmed reports, adding that “Heather has been dealing with anxiety and depression. She requested an in-depth evaluation of her medication and entered into a medical facility for proper diagnosis and treatment.”

The 46-year-old actress has had a rough, messy couple of years. In 2006, she filed for divorce from Richie Sambora, with whom she has a 10-year-old daughter. Sambora subsequently had a very public fling with Locklear’s former friend, Denise Richards. He made the tabloids again this past spring, when he was busted for DUI. The couple’s daughter and a friend were his passengers.

Shortly after, the police received a 911 call, supposedly from one of Locklear’s friends, who (wrongly, it turned out) believed Locklear to be suicidal. A rep claimed the call was a mix-up, saying, “[I] spoke with Heather and she is fine. She never requested medical assistance and did not place a 911 call, nor did anyone from her house call 911 or place a call requesting medical assistance.” Hmm, kinda fishy. Good luck to Heather!
